Wordix Privacy Policy

Wordix (the "App") is a word game developed by Muhteşem Apps ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the App, why we process it, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights.
By using the App you confirm that you have read and accept this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Controller and contact

2. Data we collect
2.1 Account and profile data
- Account ID (UID): a unique identifier created by Firebase Authentication.
- Sign-in method: Google, Apple, or guest (anonymous) sign-in.
- Email address: only when you sign in with Google or Apple, received from that provider. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only receive the relay address. No email is collected for guest sign-in.
- Username and avatar: the display name and avatar you choose in the App. Guest accounts are shown as "Guest" in your device language.
2.2 Gameplay data
- Scores, rank/rating, win-loss statistics.
- Match history, opponents, and match results.
- Word Journey progress, daily tasks, rewards, coin and life balances.
- Questions you have seen and words you answered incorrectly — used to avoid repeating questions and to build your practice list.
- Your selected game language and app settings (sound, haptics, etc.).
2.3 Social data
- Friend requests, your friend list, and game invitations.
- Private room (play with friends) records.
- Your leaderboard entry: username, avatar, score.
Your username, avatar, and score are publicly visible to other players. Please do not use personal information (such as your real name or phone number) as a username.
2.4 Technical and device data
- Push token: if you grant notification permission, a token generated by Expo/Firebase is stored so we can deliver notifications to your device.
- Crash and error logs: when the App crashes or an error occurs, we send your device model, OS version, app version, the error message, recent in-app screen steps, and your account ID to Sentry.
- Connection data: data such as IP address and timestamps is processed by our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase, Sentry) for security and abuse prevention.
We do not access or collect location data, contacts, photo library, microphone, or camera data.
3. Why we process data

4. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the following providers, solely so the App can function:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) — authentication, data storage, and notification delivery. Privacy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Expo (Expo Application Services) — app builds, updates, and push delivery. Privacy: https://expo.dev/privacy
- Sentry — crash and error reporting. Privacy: https://sentry.io/privacy/
- Google Play / Apple App Store — distribution and, where applicable, in-app purchases.
We may also disclose data to authorities where required by law, a court order, or to protect our rights.
4.1 Advertising
Wordix is free to download and play. This version of the App uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC, to show ads.
Types of ads
Rewarded ads — shown only when you choose to watch them (for example to earn an extra life, coins, or rewards in the Reward Center).
Interstitial ads — full-screen ads that may appear after some gameplay sessions (for example after certain ranked or friends matches, or after some Kelime Yolu stage completions). They are not shown after every session.
Data processed for advertising
To deliver, measure, and prevent fraud in ads, Google AdMob and its partners may process information such as:
device and advertising identifiers (for example Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, when available and permitted on your device);
IP address and general device information (device model, OS version, language, app version);
ad interaction data (for example whether an ad was shown or tapped).
This advertising data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
5. International transfers
Our providers may store data on servers in the European Union and the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country. Such transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
6. Retention
- Account and gameplay data is kept while your account is active.
- When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted as described below.
- Crash and error logs are retained for up to 90 days under the provider's retention policy.
- Deleted data is removed from technical backups within 30 days at the latest.
7. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account in the App. Deletion is irreversible and covers:
- Your user profile and public profile
- Game progress, match history, seen questions, and word lists
- Friendships, requests, notifications, and private room records
- Your leaderboard entry
- Your Firebase Authentication account
If you cannot access the App, email muhtesemapps@gmail.com from the address linked to your account to request deletion. Requests are completed within 30 days.
8. Children's privacy
Wordix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. In the European Union the applicable minimum age may be 16. If you believe your child has provided us with data, contact muhtesemapps@gmail.com and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS, and Firebase security rules restrict access to authorized accounts only. No internet service can be 100% secure, but we commit to maintaining reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and Turkey's KVKK) you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Send requests to muhtesemapps@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you in the App about significant changes. The current version is always published on this page with an updated date at the top.
